ADMISSION

Admission is open to classes pre-Nursery to class VIII at Vanasthali Gyanpeeth Patna. The school aspires to produce students who are excellent in academics as well as social and ethical values, skills and attitudes to contribute positively to the society. Thus, the admission process Is designed to test both aptitude and attitude, While the test assess the proficiency in various subjects, it will also reveal the child’s problem-solving skills. Portions integrated In the admission process will also examine the applicant’s belief and value system on the basis of which he/she makes decisions and the way he/she handles and negotiates the external world. We believe that this method of testing the Student will allow us to look at him/her holistically.

• Registration is the first step fo seeking admission at Vanasthali Gyanpeeth.
• Registration form will be available on all working days (Monday-Saturday).
• Admission to Montessory section will be through informal interaction with Parents   and child.
• Incomplete Registration form will not be processed.
• Parents are advised not to fill more than one form for an applicant.

REGISTRAION

The Prospectus and Admission Information booklet is available at our school office. The parents are requested to fill-up the registration form very carefully. It is advised that parents should fill the Registration Form themselves to avoid any incomplete information. The applications will be scrutinized and only those found complete in all respects will be selected for Observation/Assessment Test. Applying for registration does not imply admission. It is subject to the availability of seats.

GUIDELINES FOR STUDENTS

• All students must possess school diary text books and note books.
• Students must come in school uniform. It must be clean, neat and tidy
• Students must carry school identity carti in the school campus.
• Students should be regular in attendance.
• Students are advised not to bring valuable articles to the school. The School will not be responsible for any loss of goods.
• The school bus users must meticulously follow the rules and the instructions of the Driver and the conductor.
• It is mandatory for parerit/ Guardian to come along with parents card, to receive their child in school hours.
• In case of any damage of school property by the student, the same will be bear by the student’s parent/Guardian.

GUIDELINES FOR PARENTS

• Parent-Teacher contact and co-operation is essential for harmonious development of a students personality Vigilance on the parts of the parents/guardians pays rich dividends.
• Please use the school diary as a means of communication with the school by checking the remarks, if any made by teachers.
• See that your ward has all the text-books, Items of stationery craft materials. Ensure that your ward comes to school in proper school uniform.
• Please attend Parent-Teacher Meetings. Sign the test copies/papers as and when sent home.
• Intimate the change of ad&ess and telephone number to the school office.

UNIFORM RULES

  • Students must wear their uniform with and ensure that they look neat, tidy and presentable at the all times. I-Card for all and hair bands for girls are an integral part of the uniform and must be worn at all times.
  • Students are required to attend school in neat and clean uniform, also during the practical and special classes.
  • Students are required to attend all school function/activities, Open House, in or outside the school in school uniform only.
  • Students who are not in complete/neat and tidy uniform can be debarred from boarding the bus/entering the school.
  • Sports Uniform is prescribed to be worn only when the students have H & PE Periods or sports activity stated in the schedule for the particular day. Students are not supposed to wear sports uniform on date of examination, Open House or any Scholastic/Co-schoolastic event.
  • School belt is mandatory for all students.
  • Each student is supposed to carry a clean, ironed, white handkerchief to school every single day without fail.
  • Students who wear spectacles must ensure that the frame is black in colour. Coloured and/or fancy frames will be confiscated. However, coloured frames are allowed for students of classes Nursery - III.
  • Girls are not allowed to apply henna on their hands. They are not allowed to wear earrings or rings on fingers or nose rings.
  • Girls with long hair should plait their hair. It is mandatory for girls to wear hair bands in the school campus, Inside the bus as well as outside the school campus while representing the school.
  • Colouring or bleaching of hair is not permitted.
  • Sikh boys of Nursery and Prep must wear cream-coloured Patkas supplied by the books and uniform shop. Class-I onwards, bottle green coloured Patkas/turban shell be worn.
  • Sikh boys should get their hair cut intervals and ensure that it remains combat and tidy
  • Ornaments of any kind, including bracelets, nose pin, rings on fingers, all elaborate earrings/ear studd off precious metal/Jewels are not allowed, eaven for religious reasons. The only exception for girls is pair of a small ear studs. Violation of this rule will result in confisction and/or suspension. This applies to religious threads, talisman, tilka, etc. as well.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

All activities: Athletics, cultural, social or of any other kind, which may be directly or indirectly identified with the School are subject to explicit and definite approval Of the Princçal or Director Letters of intimation will be issued to parents prior to the occasion. Activities such as Games and sports, Social service, Language. Celebration Of National Days, Children’s Day, School Annual Day. Teache?s Day, Drawing Competition, Essay Competitions, Debating. Computer Quiz competition, Elocution Contest, Science Talent Competition, and Song and Drama competition play an important role in developing the personality of the children at Vanasthali Gyanpeeth.

Note: Actively participating in co-curricular & extra curricular activities is an important element that contributes significantly to the all round development of the personabty of the student. It helps to generate leadership qualities in a student. The school in oider to encourage students to take part in co-curricular & extra curricular activities has assigned special weightage in marks to the participants.
